POSITION FILLED Helpdesk Engineer - Position Listed : 1-04-08

We need people with a strong depth of knowledge in ICT technology and services but the agility of mind to create and implement new technology and process solutions to new problems for the most demanding of clients. Support engineers will be trained on new vendor technologies that clients require with a clear development path to pre-sales technical support or on-site technical consultancy open. It is critical that the successful applicants be able to maintain and assure technical solutions in line with the true business need of clients from our central site, using a range of online tools. Close cooperation with client technical teams and our on-site technical consultants is fundamental with the communication skills to help and support over the telephone.

Duties include:

The role requires answering users fault calls and providing technical assistance to users via telephone support or via remote takeover support

The applicant will have a good telephone manner, be very effective at working in team and have a competent knowledge of the technologies listed below:

      • Microsoft Windows XP
      • Microsoft Windows 2000  
      • Microsoft Office 2000/XP/2003 
      • Networking TCP/IP 
      • PC Hardware knowledge
